The artwork was performed as an illustration to Alexandre Benois' book Tsarskoye Selo during the Reign of Empress Elizabeth Petrovna. The book by A. Benois was published in 1910 by R. Golike & A. Vilborg Partnership in Saint Petersburg, but without the illustration Elizabeth Petrovna in Tsarskoe Selo.
There is the version of the artwork performed in 1905 in the collection of Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum.
