SturmabteilungDie Sturmabteilung (SA) war die paramilitärische Kampforganisation der NSDAP während der Weimarer Republik und spielte als Ordnertruppe eine entscheidende Rolle beim Aufstieg der Nationalsozialisten, indem sie deren Versammlungen vor Gruppen politischer Gegner mit Gewalt abschirmte oder gegnerische Veranstaltungen behinderte. Aufgrund ihrer Uniformierung mit braunen Hemden ab 1924 wurde die Truppe auch „Braunhemden“ genannt.
