Pontoons Made of Cargo Skiffs
St. Paul and St. George islands had narrow gauge railways installed by the US Navy around 1911-1912 using portable track. These were used for the construction and the supply of radio stations, including hauling fuel drums for generators. The lines ran from the wharf to the radio station on St. George, and to various points in the village of St. Paul. https://saveitforparts.wordpress.com/projects/lesser-known-and-obscure-railroads-of-alaska/#pribilof
