10 minute exposure of dwarf planet Pluto with a 14" telescope. Pluto is about apparent magnitude 14.1 in this image taken at 2009-10-16 12:00 UT. (Astronomical twilight ended at 11:45 UT and sunset was at 10:30 UT.) Pluto was only 67 degrees away from the Sun and had an elevation of 42 degrees. For comparison the apparent magnitude of some of the stars are labeled.
