Roman wall painting from Narbo Martius. Museum Narbo Via, Narbonne. Wall decoration of a Triclinium (ceremonial dining room) from the “Maison a Portique”, beginning of 3rd century. The scene indirectly glorifies the emperor. Central left: The winged woman represents Victory, next to her a Genie with a horn of plenty. Central right: Soldier leaning on spear. Above him Bust of Apollo with laurel crown. He protects the emperors since Augustus.
