Knag Burn Gateway Hadrians Wall National Trail which runs 135 km from Bowness-on-Solway to Wallsend http://www.nationaltrail.co.uk/hadrianswall/ crosses one of the gaps in the ridge of the Whin Sill at this point. As with a number of wet and muddy spots along the Trail, flagstones have been laid down.
