Luftbetankung bezeichnet die Übergabe von Treibstoff von einem Flugzeug zu einem anderen Flugzeug oder Hubschrauber während des Fluges. Dies erlaubt dem betankten Flugzeug, länger in der Luft zu bleiben und damit seine Reichweite zu vergrößern sowie mehr Nutzlast zu tragen. Traditionell ist das Flugzeug, welches den Treibstoff abgibt, ein speziell für diese Aufgabe entwickeltes Tankflugzeug.
