Garden Solomon's-seal. Like many of the flowers that occur alongside this section of the cycle path, near the site of an old brickworks (1449530), this appears to be a garden escape that has become naturalized (self-propagating) in the wild.
Garden Solomon's-seal, Polygonatum × hybridum, is a hybrid of two native species, P. multiflorum (Solomon's-seal), which has a smooth cylindrical stem, and P. odoratum (Angular Solomon's-seal), whose stem is angled (in cross-section). The stem of the hybrid is intermediate in form, with ridges.
