Alfa Romeo 8C 2600 in fatal accident at the 787 km long Coppa Principessa race Napoli-Bari (and back), in southern Italy on 8 Octobre 1933. The driver was Guido d'Ippolito and died, whereas co-driver Francesco Severi did not die.[1] One historian thinks they had hit a horse carriage near Grumo Appula of Bari province, and that d'Ippolito hit his head severly in the incident.[2] They raced for the Scuderia Ferrari team, led by Enzo Ferrari.
