1928 photo of a 1906 car built by Charles L. Lawrence. Lawrence was a designer of radial air-cooled engines and was the president of the Wright Aeronautical Corp. at the time this photo was taken. The sign in the picture claims that he built the Whirlwind engines used by Charles Lindburgh.

The car is called a B.L.M. for Breese, Lawrence, Moulton.

The sign also states that it is owned by S.B. Hagerman. This may have been the same S.B. Hagerman that owned the Prospect Garage in Ridgewood, New Jersey around 1910.

The man behind the wheel is unidentified.

The full text of the sign reads:

Cost new $4000.00 B.L.M. 1906 Breeze (sic), Lawrence, Moulton This car was built 22 years ago by Chas. L. Lawrence The present builder of Lindburghs Wirlwind (sic) Motor The car is owned by S.B. Hagerman
