Visayan talibong knife 1
The other photo of the sword is here.
The styling of the scabbard further points to an eastern Visayas or central Visayas origin of the bolo.
In the Visayan dialect, this bolo is commonly called a talibong or talebong (either way, pronounced as tah-LEE-bong, with the 'bong' as in gong).
The hilt is made of hardwood. The ferrule is made of weaved rattan.
Overall length: 412 mm (16.2 inches); Blade length: 304 mm (12 inches) length; Maximum blade thickness: 7 mm (9/32 inch)
