Marpingen ist eine Gemeinde im Norden des Saarlandes. Sie liegt im Südwesten des Landkreises St. Wendel. Die Gemeinde entstand 1974 nach einer Gebietsreform durch die Verschmelzung der vormals selbstständigen Gemeinden Marpingen, Urexweiler, Alsweiler und Berschweiler. Nationale Bekanntheit erlangte der Ort im späten 19.
