Eisberg (Titanic)Ein Eisberg und der Transatlantikliner Titanic stießen am 14. April 1912 zusammen, was dazu führte, dass das Schiff in zwei Stunden und vierzig Minuten sank. Von den etwa 2200 Menschen, die sich an Bord befanden, kamen über 1500 beim Untergang ums Leben. Nach dem Unglück bestand großes Interesse am Eisberg, um die Umstände der Kollision aufzuklären und die dadurch entstandenen Schäden am Schiff festzustellen.
