The Polish Navy during the Second World War
On board the Polish destroyer ORP Piorun the ship's pet cats Żaba (Frog) and Tygrys (Tiger) are being encouraged to make friends with a stowaway which must have escaped from an oiler. The Poles make a great fuss of their pets for they hold it as an ill omen if cats voluntarily leave the ship before she sails.
