The "Norrona" at Larne Traditionally the first few months of each year saw various visiting ferries covering while the usual ones went off for annual overhaul. In 1995 the “Norrona” of the Faroese Smyril Line operated between Larne and Stranraer. Having a slightly deeper draught than the route’s normal vessels she was subject to certain tidal restrictions at Stranraer.
