Parlamentswahl in Indien 1951–1952Die Parlamentswahl in Indien 1951–1952 war die erste landesweite Wahl zum gesamtindischen Parlament nach Inkrafttreten der Verfassung der Republik Indien am 26. Januar 1950. Die Wahl zog sich über mehrere Monate, verteilt auf verschiedene Tage hin, begann am 25. Oktober 1951 und endete am 21. Februar 1952. Wahlberechtigt waren mehr als 173 Millionen Personen und die Wahlbeteiligung betrug 44,9 %. Die Durchführung der Wahl stellte für das noch junge Staatswesen eine enorme organisatorische und logistische Herausforderung dar, die aber in bemerkenswert geordneter Form bewältigt werden konnte. Da die Verfassung erst kurz zuvor in Kraft getreten war, musste bei der Organisation der Wahl vielfach juristisches und administratives Neuland betreten werden.
