Founder's stock certificate of the Actiengesellschaft der Spinnerei am Uznaberg for 5,000 Swiss francs, issued on 1 January 1877 in Uznach, with the signature of the silk merchant Heinrich Landis as president of the general assembly. The only known share printed on cloth/linen. Founded in 1833 by Johann Hürlimann and the brothers Jakob and Rudolf Brändlin. The company, equipped with the latest technology, was considered the leading spinning mill in the canton of St. Gallen. In 1877, the two founding families incorporated the spinning mill into a joint-stock company with a capital of 1.5 million Swiss francs. The company, which still exists today, manages its real estate.
