Snapphanen from 1934 by artist Axel Ebbe portraits the snapphane Lille Mads, a member of the pro-Danish guerilla active in southern Sweden in the 17'th century. The statue is placed in the Hembygdsparken park in Hässleholm, Sweden.

Snapphanar ist die abwertende Bezeichnung für die einheimischen Freischärler, die im 17. Jahrhundert in Schonen, Blekinge und Halland gegen die schwedischen Truppen kämpften. Der Name „Snapphanar“ geht auf das niederdeutsche snaphane zurück, was „Straßenräuber“ bedeutet.
