Panoramic view of the Lake Umayo and the Sillustani burial ground (see the 2 towers on the right). Sillustani is a pre-Incan cemetery with tombs (chullpas) built above ground in tower-like structures housing the remains of nobles. The place was built by the Aymara, that were conquered by the Inca in the 15th century.

Der Distrikt Tiquillaca liegt in der Provinz Puno in der Region Puno im Süden Perus. Der Distrikt besitzt eine Fläche von 489 km². Beim Zensus 2017 wurden 1688 Einwohner gezählt.
