Renowned songwriters and musicians discuss music as a form of inspiration, activism, and social expression, while offering their own musical performances at The Summit on Race in America at the LBJ Presidential Library in Austin on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. Performers include Wyclef Jean, who has three Grammy awards for rap and R&B; Jimmy Jam, who has five Grammy awards for songwriting and producing; and Shemekia Copeland, above, a Grammy-nominated blues singer.
The Summit on Race in America runs from April 8-April 10 at the LBJ Library.
