Shadow mask closeup rgb matrix
The shadow mask of a 15" CRT monitor (diagonal dot pitch: 0.28 mm) in close-up, showing a RGBxRGB matrix. Each color square is 6x6 pixels big. When displayed on the same monitor set to its optimum resolution (1024x768 pixels), the photo has a magnification of about 40x.
Easily distinguishable is the way the additive color model RGB works and its colors Red, Green and Blue.
Photo taken with a Canon Powershot A95 camera and some additional equipment (a Pentax K mount 50 mm f:1.7 lens and a simple convex lens taken off a magnifying glass) to achieve the magnification.Relevante Bilder
