Die Geschichte von SinuheDie Geschichte von Sinuhe ist ein im Original titelloses Werk der altägyptischen Literatur aus dem Anfang der 12. Dynastie des Mittleren Reichs. Der unbekannte Autor der Dichtung schildert in Form einer Ich-Erzählung die vermutlich fiktive Lebensgeschichte des Hofbeamten Sinuhe, der nach dem Tod des Königs (Pharao) Amenemhet I. in Panik gerät und nach einer abenteuerlichen Flucht schließlich in der Region Palästina sesshaft wird. Doch im Alter wird er von Heimweh geplagt. Tatsächlich bittet ihn Sesostris I., wieder heimzukehren, da er dessen Unschuld am Tode seines Vaters Amenemhet erkannt habe. Lehre des AmenemhetDie Lehre des Amenemhet ist ein altägyptisches Literaturwerk, das sich nach dem Formvorbild der Lebenslehre und der privaten Autobiographie gestaltet. Die zentrale Stelle schildert ein Attentat auf den König (Pharao) Amenemhet I. Obwohl der Text nur aus Handschriften des Neuen Reichs überliefert ist, datiert seine Entstehung unbestritten in die 12. Dynastie des Mittleren Reichs.
