According to annex no. 1, the coat of arms of Avram Iancu commune consists of a blue triangular shield with rounded edges. Inside the shield is the silver bust of Avram Iancu, looking to the left, and at the top of the shield are placed crossed a musket and a flute, both silver. The shield is stamped by a silver mural crown with a crenellated tower. The meanings of the elements summed up: The bust of Avram Iancu represents the most beloved son of the moți, the Ruler of the moți, but also of Romanians everywhere, revolutionary in 1848. The firearm and flute were Avram Iancu's guiding elements in the fight for justice. The mural crown with a crenellated tower signifies the fact that the locality has the status of a commune.
