20,019 GRT ocean liner RMS Duchess of Atholl, built in 1928 by Wm Beardmore of Dalmuir, Scotland for the Canadian Pacific Steamship Co. A German submarine torpedoed and sank her in the South Atlantic on 10 October 1942.
