Promethichthys prometheus (=Dicrotus parvipinnis). The type specimen collected by the steamer “Albatross” at station 2601, off Cape Hatteras, in 37° 39′ 15″ N 75° 33′ 30″ W, at depth of 107 fathoms (ca. 196 m).
