On the old naval base of "Karljohansvern" in Horten, Norway, a Culture Park with museums have appeared. One of these is a museum dedicated to photography, both the art and its history.
Named after its major contributor and located in Kommandørkaptein Klincks vei 7, the Preus Museum is a treasure cove for people interested in the history of photography. Here you'll find 150 years old photographies, the evolution of camera technology, strange pistol cameras and other curiosa as well as rotating photo exhibitions and a brand new photo library.
The anti aircraft guns in front of the building have nothing to do with the photo museum but belong to the neighboring Naval Museum.
