Es war von 1903 bis 1995 in Betrieb und lagerte zivile Sprengstoffe hauptsächlich für Bergbau und Bauwesen. Zum Lager gehörten mehrere Lagerschuppen und ein Schiffsanleger. Der Schiffsanleger und die Lagerschuppen waren über eine Schmalspurbahn an das Ferneisenbahnnetz angeschlossen.
