Art project 'POLARFRONT' with a foto of an ice front off the entrance of the 'Deutsches Schiffahrtsmuseum'
The art project 'POLARFRONT' was performed by Birgit Mieding, Johannes Freitag & Ingo Sikorski during the Year of the Geosciences in 2005 in cooperation with the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research (AWI) and the Deutsches Schiffahrtsmuseum (DSM), both Bremerhaven, Germany. The project consisted of four large posters from the Antarctic mounted to the walls of AWI and DSM and one installed in the river Weser.
The wooden arm in the foreground is from artist and sculptor Stephan Balkenhol and not part of the POLARFRONT project.Relevante Bilder
