The drawing is signed with two marginally legible names: 'L. LEGEA'(?) and 'J(?) CARTERET'. I haven't been able to find any information on either.

Beschreibung:
Drawing of Antonio Pacinotti's dynamo, an early electrical generator invented by Italian professor Antonio Pacinotti about 1860. It was first to use a doughnut shaped armature with many windings (16 in this machine) distributed evenly along its circumference to even out the output waveform, producing almost steady direct current. It was the inspiration for the Gramme dynamo, the first machine to produce power commercially for industry. This drawing is of a machine presented at the Paris Electrical Exhibition in 1867, from the caption: "Pacinotti machine at the Paris Electrical Exhibition". Alterations: removed caption and discoloration along bottom edge.
