Nicola Sturgeon is the deputy leader of the Scottish National Party, and her claiming of the Glasgow Govan area was one of many surprises in the last Holyrood Election as voters in previously "safe" Labour constituencies turned their backs on the party to vote the SNP to a marginal victory.
