Newtongrange. This picture shows a reminder of what built this village the Lady Victoria Colliery which is now the Scottish Mining Museum. The village was built by the Lothian Coal Company and became the largest pit village in Scotland. In recent years the village has been rejuvenated and the old miners cottages of which there are rows and rows have been lovingly restored
