Central European Pipeline System
FRANCE. The French portion of the Central European Pipeline System (CEPS) network is made up of 1,354 miles of pipeline, 17 storage depots with 4,218,000 barrels of storage capacity and 6 tanker discharge facilities. Division one and three are operated for the French Government by Trapil Company and division two is operated by military personnel. Division three includes that portion of the pipeline (30 miles) that passes through Luxembourg to Bitburg, Germany. This is the largest part of the CEPS.

Es dient zusammen mit dem Northern Europe Pipeline System (NEPS) die Kraftstoff-Versorgung der NATO in Mitteleuropa und erstreckt sich auf Belgien, Frankreich, Deutschland, Luxemburg und die Niederlande. In Deutschland verbindet es im Wesentlichen Luftwaffenstützpunkte im Westen Deutschlands, unter anderem den Fliegerhorst Büchel, den Flugplatz Fürstenfeldbruck, die Ramstein Air Base und die Spangdahlem Air Base.
