The classic lines of the DC-3... and the sound of the engines... took me back to Starways in Liverpool UK (LPL) in 1963. This was built as a C-47A for the USAAF as 43-47377 and shortly thereafter was converted to an R4D-6 for the US Navy as Bu 17263 (hat tip to Caz Caswell for the additional info)
