ÄhrenmausDie Ährenmaus ist eine zu den Mäusen gehörende Art der Altweltmäuse aus der Steppenzone Mittel-, Südost- und Osteuropas. Die kleine Maus mit kurzem Schwanz ist einheitlich grau oder zweifarbig mit heller Unterseite. Sie legt charakteristische Vorratshügel an und ist nicht gefährdet. Die Erstbeschreibung als Mus spicilegus erfolgte 1882 aus dem Nachlass ihres Entdeckers Salamon János Petényi. Auch unter dem Namen Mus hortulanus bekannt, ist dieser jedoch als Synonym der Östlichen Hausmaus zuzuordnen. .. weiterlesen
