Miscanthus sinensis, Hakonechloa macra ^ Setaria palmifolia - Flickr - peganum

Not a lot to look at the moment but these three grasses are looking interesting. The Miscanthus behind (I don't know which variety it is - it was a scrap from a garden I worked in) is too big for this spot and won't be there next year but the effect right now is very eye-catching. The evergreen Setaria in front of it is looking very good now everything else is gone. I'll need to lift some of it to ensure it comes through the winter, but it's looking pretty good for December. (Update: bigger and better now in summer 2010 - no problems at all last winter) The Hakonechloa is the yellowish tuft in the foreground and is still rather small but should be a good feature in the future.
