The statue of the Newcastle United and England footballer Jackie Milburn (1924-1988), located in Station Road, Ashington, Northumberland. Milburn was born in the town, and his statue now has pride of place in its main shopping street. One of three statues of Milburn in the north east region, this is the only one still in its original position, having been unveiled on 5 October 1995. See Statues of Jackie Milburn for full details.
