From the Adirondacks of New York comes Megachile centuncularis. Sadly, it is an invasive species that can be quite common in northern cities across the U.S. as well as throughout the northern part of the globe. It nests in holes in wood and is often found in bee hotels. Maybe that is why it is so successful, it likes our holes.
