Postcard posted on 20.08.1906, presenting the "quai "Arloing" and fort de Loyasse" at the top of the hill, on the right bank (south side) of the Saône in Lyon. The chapel on the banks of the Saône is the Chapel of the Observance; with the beginning of the Montée de l'Observance which goes off to the left in front of the chapel, the Quai Pierre Scize on the left and the Quai Chauveau on the right (the Quai Arloing ends further to the right upstream, only 20 m downstream from the Koenig bridge that we cannot see: there is an error in the names of the quays in the legend of the postcard). In the middle of the left part of the photo, the rocky outcrop near the river, almost directly above the fort of Loyasse, is the Pierre-Scise which carried the castle of Pierre-Scise.
