Legion VI dedication stone, Lanercost Priory. This is set in the wall of the buildings next to the priory itself and must have come from Hadrian's Wall just to the north. You may have to stand on your head to read it though (this photo has been inverted 180 degrees). It says: 'LEG VI V PIA FID' which translates as 'Legion Six Victrix made this'.

Die Lanercost Priory ist eine ehemalige Priorei und späteres Herrenhaus im Dorf Lanercost in der englischen Grafschaft Cumbria, in Sichtweite des Naworth Castle.
