"Designed by Gilles Clément, the garden is an integral part of the museum: bushy garden, sheltered from the rumor of the wharf by a high glass palisade, it extends over 18,000 sqm and gives to the stroller (visitor of the museum, , walker) an impression of expansion.

Place of nature and culture, the garden is an "invitation to travel": paths, small hills, paved paths of torrent stone, basins conducive to meditation and reverie…

169 trees and thirty plant species are gathered here: oaks and maples on the north side, magnolias and cherry trees on the south side.

Thanks to the construction on stilts, the garden passes under the museum whose belly is planted with grasses of undergrowth: it is here that the visitor of the museum will find the counters of the box office, outside."
