The 'Flying Scotsman' express enters King's Cross at the end of its non-stop run from Edinburgh.
View NW, from the separate York Road Up platform used by suburban trains running through to Moorgate; ex-Great Northern ECML. The train is emerging from one of the three bores of the smoky Gas Works Tunnel, above and behind which is Goods Way and the buildings of King's Cross Goods station. The locomotive is Gresley A4 streamlined Pacific No. 60009 'Union of South Africa'.
