The JBL TI 5000 Hi-End loudspeaker box was built from 1992-1999. The weight per item is 55 kg, the height 1,15 m. In 1997, the offical price for one box was 5.499 D-Mark in Germany, which would be about 4.000 Euro in 2022. Technical specifications can e.g. be found on the website HiFi Wiki and here.
The shown item was bought by the photographer in used but excellent condition in 1998 for about 1.200 D-Mark for the loudspeaker pair, which would be about 1.000 Euro in 2022, which shows the (general) strong value loss over time of very expensive Hi-Fi loudspeaker boxes. Anecdote: The previous owner obviously had a hard time selling these items, and it seemed that his wife was the driving force behind the sale, maybe/probably due to the very low Wife acceptance factor (see en-Wikipedia) of such huge devices.
