The Iranian gunboat Babr sunk at Khorramshar, Iran, on 21 August 1941. She was shelled and sunk by the Royal Australian Navy sloop HMAS Yarra (U77) during "Operation Marmalade", the Anglo-Soviet invasion of Iran.
