The Benedictine Abbey of St. Blasien (visible on the far left of the map as St. Blasi, next to "OB", which stands for Orden benedictina) acquired Bonndorf in the early 17th century. Since Bonndorf enjoyed the status of imperial immediacy, the abbots of St. Blasien, as counts of Bonndorf, had seat and vote on the Bench of the Swabian Counts at the Imperial Diet. Bonndorf was almost entirely surrounded by territories belonging to the princes of Fürstenberg (in yellow).

Reichsherrschaft BonndorfDie Reichsherrschaft Bonndorf war ein historisches Territorium des Heiligen Römischen Reiches Deutscher Nation und entstand 1614 als Abspaltung von der Landgrafschaft Stühlingen.
