German WW2 era Tracked Mine Official designation:- Sd.Kfz.302 Leichter Ladungsträger Goliath Known to the Allies as ‘Beelte Tanks’, Goliaths were wire controlled miniature tanks of which the electric powered variant could carry 130lb of high explosives. Detonated remotely, they could be used to destroy tanks, buildings or bridges, and to disrupt infantry formations. Although effective if correctly positioned, they were vulnerable due to their size and slow speed and most failed to reach their targets. This is an electric motored variant of which 7,564 were produced between 1942 and 1944. It is on display in Hall 10 of the Patriot Museum Complex. Park Patriot, Kubinka, Moscow Oblast, Russia.
