In celebration of the upcoming International Women's Day, we've decided to share with you photos of women serving across the range of different units in the IDF. On the ground, in the sea, or in the air; the IDF's women take equal part in protecting Israel at all times.
Pictured: Staff Sergeant Marina Izmailov , a combat soldier in the Oketz canine unit, during an exercise with her dog Case, who is trained to find hidden explosives. Staff Sgt. Izmailov received a citation of excellence from President Shimon Peres on Israel's 62nd Independence Day. Case also joined on stage to receive his citation.
