Warrior stela. Slate. Late Bronze Age. Found in Solana de Cabañas (Cabañas del Castillo, Cáceres).
Found in the late 19th century, this was the first specimen to be discovered in a serie of stelae now numbering over one hundred monuments.
The figure is surrounded by the symbols of his social rank, including a Mediterranean-style chariot in wich the engraver nevertheless made the mistake of placing de wheels on the axis, thus demonstrating that he had never actually seen the object he mas representing.
