Funeral of victims of the revolution, Berlin, November 1918. A crowd of several thousand people gathered, according to the caption, on Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin. The crowd includes German military and civilian men, women and children. This was apparently taken during the funeral of the fifteen people who died during the Berlin Revolution on 9 November, 1918.

In October 1918 the German government fell in the face of their military defeats and the increasing starvation of civilians due to the blockade. On 9 November a relatively small revolution in Berlin led to the declaration of the German Republic and the abdication of the Kaiser.
