Organizational emblem of Muhammadiyah. This emblem was created by Kiai Hajji Siradj Dahlan (died 1948). The emblem consisted of 12 spokes of Sun rays which means 1912, the foundation year of the organization. On the center of the emblem is Muḥammadiyah, which means "disciples of Muhammad, Peace be upon him". Around the circle are two Shahadah wordings: "ašhadu ʾan lā ʾilāha ʾilla -llāhu, wa-ʾašhadu ʾanna muḥammadan rasūlu -llāhi". It means "I bear witness that there is no deity but God, and I bear witness that Muhammad (p.b.u.h.) is the messenger of God." The official emblem is drawn white over green square. According to Islamic traditions, green is heavenly colour, as is mentioned in Surah Ar-Rahman 55:76, Al-Insan 76:21, and Al-Kahf 18:31.
