Scope and content: LTC Kurt Hammann, commander of the 1ST German Training Squadron, poses for a photo in an F-4E Phantom II aircraft. The German squadron uses the George training range complex for initial and advanced F-4E pilot training. Instructors from the 20th Tactical Fighter Training Squadron (20th TFTS) teach German pilots in the basic F-4 course, RF-4 preparatory training and the fighter weapons instructor course. The 20th TFTS also provides maintenance and opertional assistance to the German squadron.
